Sensors are the worst things invented, cars have gone from easy to work on to a pain in the ***. My wife has 2 sensors on her van that need replaced, cost estimate to fix $475.

Pretty much everything that doesnt have a carb on there becomes a [censored] to work on. The newer it is the harder it is to do anything. There is also good that came out of it. Fuel distribution from hit & miss/[censored] to nice real fast when injectors were put infront of each intake valve. OEMs got better at controlling A/FR with adding an O2 sensor per bank. They still have a way til they can have everything controled on the motor so its tuned just right for each situation.

Plus thats just the American thing to do. Why do you think I run nothing but Ford trucks & my wife has a Buick?

On a side note, all my trucks were built here in the states. Tam's Buick was made in Canada. It was free & in cherry condition.

Just saying diesel is like saying all pussy is the same. The idea & basic build is the same but performance is NOT. Cummins are & were but to tow & last over 300000 miles before overhaul. The new 6.7s, I would wait a couple years just to be safe & allow time for the bugs to be worked out. Given its just a bored & stroked 5.9, problems happen when [censored] is [censored] with. Ford/International's original 6.9IDI diesel V8, was built for work but also in the V shape to be able to make HP for passing & [censored]. The late '90s Powerstrokes & into the next gen trucks (superduty) 7.3 PS up to 2002 are the best in that family. [censored] the 6.0s, ya they run but TOO many problems right off the bat. 6.4s, Im in the middle of the road on them. Overkill on the emission crap & to me the whole motor was a compromise with the whole Ford VS Internat. BS that happened. Ford's new in house built diesel seems nice but would not buy one for a few years, look at what happened with the 6.0s. 6.2s & 6.5s in GMs, are ok at best. Made by Detroit. Detroit Series 60 & the older 2 storke supercharged motors are nice. The DMaxs, are built by Isuzu. Yes that company. They also built/build 4 cylinder diesel motors for ThermoKing reefer units on tractor trailers. Its a newer GM product & unless someone give me keys & a signed title, the hell with it.

Wish my Bronco was on the road. Loved that truck. Oh well, when it hits the road again it will be worth the money & time.

Just a heads up. Don't plan on moving to Cali and own a diesel truck. Or you'll have to buy a particulate filter for like 14k.
