national guard post will be the first place i go to, get equipment, solid truck, hit up the grocery store for non perishables and water. then find a building, a couple of floors high, shoot out key windows for sniper perches. barricade stair entrances on bottom floor, jam elevators. iWin. you guys go for the weak trucks and walmart

lol. that sporting goods store i was telling you about is 2 floors, and the back half is their head offices. so i could always grab a walmart delivery truck full of food and pull a Dawn of the Dead into the sporting goods store.

First, what kind of zombies are we talking about?
Can they run?
Can they open doors?
Can they climb ladders?
Can they carry weapons? (Like clubs/bats/2x4s)
Are they smart enough to know how glass works?
Are they attracted to sound, visuals, bright lights, smell, or all of these?
28 Days Later zombies, or Dead Rising zombies?

What I'm doing is running across the street to Metrotown (massive 3 floor mall), and loading up on weaponry from the small Hunters' outlet. After that is a quick trip to Sportcheck to grab a BASE jumper's parachute and/or a hang-glider. Then I'm grabbing foods from the TNT, Superstore and food court, followed by a quick trek to the office towers and riding the elevator to the top floor of Tower I (the taller of the two). Using my ultra-secret ninja techniques, I'm going to fashion a zip-line across to Tower II as a safe exit, and set up the hang-glider on that tower with which to hang-glide over to Crystal Mall and camp out there for a bit if I need to. Tower A will be my HQ, as it's high enough to watch for hordes approaching as well as being heavily fortified against forced entry. I can then run to the grocery stores every so often if i need a "fresh" batch of supplies.
I could also go into the parking lot and grab any of the armored trucks if I need to gtfo asap.

I think its important to point out that Max Brook actually describes zombies and 28 days is a rage.

In case of traditional Zombie attack, they all must die and be burnt and several spears would do the trick. If you kept a level head and made the goal to get to the next "safe zone" so you could rest this would be easier to deal with than the 28 day mayhem.

In case of "rage" attack, Waiting it out in a semi fortified place would do. Now you have to endure a good 3 days before that 1 body will fail without water. It was never determined how the 28days/weeks managed to survive longer but if they were able to eat/drink water this would elude to the fact basic survival skills were attainable when not in killing mode. I honestly don't see many surviving this with out isolation.
