it's really too bad they couldn't have done the hobbit first. it would have made most sense chronologically. i can't decide if i like the idea of splitting it. i actually think it may be better that way, because that just means they are going to include more details and not leave out parts like they had to with the LOTR. the hobbit is a pretty badass book, i'm sure they can do a really good job with it

yeah. there was a cartoon done years back that i saw once and thought it was pretty awesome.
